The Technology

Remove the CO₂.
Keep the conditioned air.

Conventional ventilation dilutes indoor CO₂ by pumping in ever more heated or cooled outside air — wasting enormous amounts of thermal energy. The Maxairea Clever Air Care System removes CO₂ molecules from the incoming fresh air so each cubic metre delivered to the space has more capacity to dilute indoor CO₂.

01

Capture

A regenerative sorbent core captures CO₂ molecules from the incoming fresh air stream as it enters the HVAC.

02

Regenerate

The core regenerates in place across many cycles, integrated with your HVAC's operating schedule.

03

Deliver

Fresh air enters the space with lower CO₂ content — reducing the required outside-air volume by up to 40%.

Why up to 50% matters

Reducing the required outside-air volume by up to 50% cuts the thermal load the HVAC has to condition — which translates directly into lower electricity and gas bills. The exact reduction depends on the condition, configuration and control strategy of the existing HVAC.

Never below the legal minimum

The system never reduces outside-air supply below the applicable legal minimum. We use 24 m³ of outside air per person per hour as a reference, subject to confirmation against the regulations applicable to each building type.

Retrofit or standalone

The Maxairea Clever Air Care System is added to a suitable existing HVAC installation. Controls integrate with common Building Management Systems (BMS), and installation work stays in the technical room.

Health & performance

Guidance from RVO and the Dutch ministries (Frisse Scholen) links good indoor air quality and controlled CO₂ levels to healthier, more effective learning and working environments. Maxairea makes it easier for a building to sustain those conditions.
