How it works

Remove the CO₂, and the building needs less outdoor air.

Maxairea removes CO₂ from building air, so your existing HVAC can ventilate less and still deliver excellent indoor air quality.

In plain language

Buildings bring in outdoor air mainly to keep CO₂ down. Conditioning that air is expensive. Maxairea deals with the CO₂ directly, so the same air quality needs less outdoor air.

  1. 01
    Air enters the system

Building air passes through the air-handling unit as it already does today.

  2. 02
    CO₂ is removed

A regenerative filter separates CO₂ from the air stream instead of diluting it with outdoor air.

  3. 03
    The filter restores itself

The filter is cycled back to capture duty in operation. There is no consumable media to replace.

  4. 04
    Ventilation follows the CO₂ target

The controller trims outdoor-air volume to hold your CO₂ setpoint, never below 24 m³ of fresh air per person per hour.

  5. 05
    Energy demand falls

Less outdoor air to heat, cool and move means lower HVAC energy consumption.

MEASURED
Conventional ventilation

Full outdoor-air volume is heated, cooled and moved to dilute CO₂ down to the setpoint.

With Clever Air Care

CO₂ is removed at source, so up to 40% less outdoor air needs conditioning — with the 24 m³/person/hour fresh-air floor always retained.

The technical description

Clever Air Care is a regenerative sorbent CO₂ separation stage integrated into the supply or recirculation path of an existing air-handling unit. Sorbent beds adsorb CO₂ during the capture phase and are cycled to a regeneration phase using low-grade heat, giving a continuous duty without consumable filter media. CO₂ and IAQ sensors feed the Maxairea controller, which trims the outdoor-air damper position and fan setpoint against a CO₂ target while enforcing a minimum fresh-air floor of 24 m³/person/hour. The controller exposes setpoints and status to the BMS/BAS, and performance is verified through pre- and post-installation measurement of CO₂ concentration, airflow, and HVAC energy consumption.
