The Maxairea Clever Air Care System was added to an existing air-handling unit to improve indoor air quality and reduce energy consumption. Initial results indicate a strong positive impact on IAQ, HVAC energy use, and total cost of ownership. Full results to be announced with the SPIE Netherlands team.
The Maxairea Clever Air Care System is being installed inside an existing ventilation unit at The Green Village, TU Delft. Delivered in collaboration with InnovationQuarter, Orange Climate, Verkerk, Van Dorp Installaties, Warmtebouw, Priva and TNO. Commissioning planned for the first half of October 2026.
Nelissen Engineering has incorporated Maxairea’s CO₂ capture technology into the Bisonspoor Police Station design. By treating CO₂ directly, the concept enables approximately 33% lower design airflow, smaller ducts and air-handling capacity, and an estimated 20 kW reduction in both heating and cooling capacity. The project shows Maxairea’s broader value: improving indoor air quality while reducing system size, energy demand and overall building-services costs from the design stage onward.
